My neck has hurt for months off and on, sometimes waking me with wild cramps. This weekend, one hand then the other, then the next day my toes- have hurt, as if burning and twitching, some numb sensations, some pain- very hard to pin down. More recently, my fingertips have begun to burn while typing. Off and on for months, I've had some numbness and vague discomfort in my hands and feet. do I have another autoimmune disease or are my symptoms part of the Hashi's? I also have had endometriosis for 10+ years, for which I've had several surgeries and made dietary changes including gluten and dairy free (which I've now learned may have helped my undiagnosed thyroid disease). diagnosed hashimoto's, based on my symptoms but my thyroid levels are normal- it's just my antibodies that are high. I was diagnosed with autoimmune thyroid a few months ago. If anyone has input or thoughts to share, I'd appreciate it. Wondering how a Kaiser Endo will feel about me going outside the plan for blood labs, and if I should share the results with her - and make it part of my medical records. I will be ahaving a check in soon, and want to be armed with information so I can advocate for myself. I'm wondering if I'm over or under medicated on T4- and if its possible I would feel better if I was on Cytomel - or not? My family and friends are noticing a change in me. I have been feeling depressed and isolated - where before I was very outgoing. ![]() I've lost and gained the same 3 lbs since February. Weight loss has been virtually impossible despite sticking to a 1500 calorie a day, gluten free diet. In the past month I've been experience a sudden uncomfortable stomach cramping sensation - just under my ribs. My hands and feet are in pain all the time - especially upon waking. My endocrinologist is against prescribing Natural Thyroid medication, but would be open to adding Cytomel - although she warned me of side effects like heart palpitations, jitters, etc.Ĭurrent Symptoms: Its been so long since I've felt 'normal', I have no idea what optimal or 'well' is supposed to feel like. My history: Partial thyroidectomy in Feb 2015, and I'm currently prescribed 125 mcg Levothyroxine. Can anyone with personal experience here tell me if the numbers indicate anything I should be concerned about?įree T4 = 1.86 (0.82 - 1.77) = Flagged HIGH To get a better picture of my thyroid levels, I had a FULL thyroid panel done privately last week. My Kaiser health plan coverage only tests TSH and T4. Im miserable i need to find a way to not feel sooooooo sick and not hurt sooooo bad!! Please!!! Does anyone have any idea if theres any way i can either treat my own antibodies or at least how i can convince these drs to figure out how to treat them or something. Its like theyv givin up on me ever feeling better. My last few visits my labs showed high antibody levels but these drs dont know what to do with that all they saw was that my thyroid levels were still "within standard range" wich tothem means no further effort needed even tho my thyroid levels were outside of the optimal range signaling the damage being done by the antibodies they refuse to even attempt any treatment and basically just tell me all they can do is reger me to an endocrinologist that i wont be able to see without insurance. ![]() My symptoms have already gotten to the level of severly impairing daily life. I dont have health insurance or an income so the only care I can get is from a primary care dr or nurse practitioner at the community or tribal clinic. I have autoimmune thyroiditis aka Hashimotos disease.
